9/5 The Mezz Playlist- Rise of the Speedmen and Scrabbel LIVE in the Studio

Wahooooooooooo! Monday was like the best day ever!!!! Not only did we have a dope ass featured artist we had our first ever LIVE performance in Sidewok Studio A! Ladies and Gentleman … we were making Mezzanine HISTORY!!!

Rise of the Speedmen
MySpace Page

Rise of the Speedmen is be far one of the most talented musical delights that I have ever heard. The layering of the sounds mixed with his vocals makes for a killer sound. Please if you like what you hear check it out!!!!!

LIVE IN THE STUDIO —- SCRABBEL!!!!

Scrabbel

Although 1/3 of the band came, Aya and Dan rocked the house. Dan on guitar and vocals with Aya singing with her super duper cute xylaphone, Scrabbel made Studio A a “Unplugged” venue that MTV and Jodeci would have been HELLA jealous of. Don’t forget to check Scrabbel out on September 24th at Bimbos in San Francisco at 9pm, they are opening for Nouvelle Vague. More details on their webpage.

Thanks again to all the listeners that make us strive every monday. It is cause of you we work our damn hardest to bring you the best music from all the local/indie bands.

Remember, if you know of bands who need airplay …. hit us up with details at thmezzanine@sidewok.com.

Hope you enjoyed the show!!!!

Hugs and kisses loves,
the Mohawkian Princess

Eisley, Green Day, MXPX, Metric, Beck, Stars, Bjork … just to mention a few. And who can have a Block Party without Bloc Party!!! Listen, cause quite frankly, MUSIC Rocks!!!!

THM – Slowly but surely

This week started off a little slow for the HeteroMezz but didn’t stop the jams flowin. The cover corner was in full effect with an 80’s vibe, showcasing covers from The Cure, Joy Division and Crowded House just to name a few. The Mohawkian Princess also featured FannyPack this week- nostalgic from her NYC/Brooklyn adventure. Bobadave also had a block of some of his favorite new sounds. Thanks to all who listen and support the Heterogeneous Mezzanine!!! Listen and enjoy!

Keeping it down on the Solo broadcast, the Mohawkian Princess held it down. As usual she was ‘keepin it real’ with the mini cover corner as well as blastin the dope tracks! Eclectic is the key word my friends.

And of course, she played The Wildlife and will continue to play electricslide until she gets her hands on their cd!!!! Thanks to all who contributed to TMP music collection this week (Yams and M O N Key)!!!!
